Research Topics in Digital Linguistics

This seminar deals with the methodology and content of academic research in the field of digital linguistics, using concrete examples. Students who are writing their Master’s thesis under my supervision and students who are doing the ‘Guided Self-Study’ module with me will present and discuss their work. In the module ‘Empirical Linguistics II’, the seminar can be attended to discuss the problems and solutions of academic work on the basis of concrete examples from fellow students. You will be expected to participate actively in the seminar on a regular basis. In order to successfully complete the module, you will be required to submit three critical reviews during the semester. Further details will be given at the beginning of the seminar. It is particularly important that you are present at the first session in order to organise the seminar.
