This course introduces the foundations of mathematics, with a focus on Zermelo-Fraenkel axiomatic set theory (ZFC). We will cover the following topics: - Axioms of set theory - Ordinals and cardinals - Models of set theory - Relative consistency proofs - (Potential advanced topics): infinitary combinatorics, inner models, forcing, and type-theoretic foundations of mathematics With a recommendation: Familiarity with the basics of mathematical logic is advisable; "Introduction to Mathematical Logic" is NOT a prerequisite.
