AI-First Unternehmen gestalten: AI-Lösungen entwickeln und skalieren (Praxisseminar)

As information systems (IS) researchers, we aim to explore the design, development, use, and impact of information technology to support and improve organizational and societal processes. In this seminar, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in ongoing research efforts under the guidance of researchers from our group. You’ll be exposed to one of the various research methods, including experimental studies, surveys, qualitative interviews, case studies, and text mining, and learn how to collect and analyze empirical data through both quantitative and qualitative methods. By participating in this seminar, you will not only gain valuable experience in IS research, but also have the chance to directly contribute to our group’s research efforts. Besides the technical research skills, this seminar also develops critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills that are valuable in any career path. Exemplary topics in this seminar include: Algorithmic Control: The Impact of Perceived Transparency How AI Changes the Way People Work AI Literacy: Designing a learning application Doxing Dynamics: The Role of Online Platforms Proactive vs. Reactive Help from AI-Based Agents: When Helping Hurts Privacy-Enhancing Technologies: Supporting Users throughout Their Privacy Journey Participants: 16 Bachelor and 12 Master students, working in mixed groups (~ 5 students per group) Topic: Proposed by ISE researchers who supervise and guide your research journey The assessment comprises three key components: participation in the paper development workshop, a written paper, and a final presentation. Language of papers and presentations: English or German, based on your preference Requirements: Interest in one of the mentioned research areas as well as the willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics and methods
