Project Management II

With the increasing number of projects within companies, not only the management of individual projects becomes more important. Much more, the holistic management of project landscapes (programs and project portfolios) becomes a key competence. Strategic project management creates the prerequisites for successful individual project management by establishing structures and processes for selecting, aligning, planning, managing and adjusting projects in a portfolio. Important topics within the lecture are the project-oriented firm, the project portfolio process (structuring and steering) and agile project portfolio management. In addition, important roles in multi-project management and the importance of project management offices are addressed.
