Project in EIM: Business Challenge (Prof. Kock)

In the course "Project in Entrepreneurship / Innovation Management", students will face theory-based and practical challenges within an explicit entrepreneurship and innovation context. Please note that three different PEIM courses are offered in the Winter Semester 2025/26 (i.e., two by Prof. Kock). As part of this PEIM course "Business Challenge: Solving Corporate Challenges" student teams of three will be tasked with a challenge from one of our business partners (established companies and start-ups). Exemplary applications in the area of entrepreneurship can be specific topics, such as analyzing entrepreneurial concepts within specific industry settings or opportunity recognition. Applications in the area of technology and innovation management comprise the derivation of management implications for current challenges such as digitalization and corporate foresight. To meet their challenges, students will utilize a range of methodologies, including literature reviews, empirical research (both qualitative and quantitative), design thinking, sensitivity analyses, and scenario analysis. These methods will support the development of innovative solutions that will be presented to the business partners.
