Als Universaltechnologie verändert künstliche Intelligenz (KI) unser Wirtschafts- und Alltagsleben unumkehrbar. KI-Anwendungen versprechen Produktivitätsgewinne, Wachstum und Innovation. Gleichzeitig löst der Aufschwung der KI Ängste aus. Im Zentrum steht dabei die Frage nach der Sicherheit und Vertrauenswürdigkeit von KI-Systemen. Sie zu gewährleisten, hat sich die EU mit der neuen KI-Verordnung zum Ziel gesetzt. Die KI-Verordnung ist das weltweit erste umfassende Regelwerk für KI. Es soll Vertrauen in die KI schaffen und Innovationen „made in Europe" ermöglichen. Die Vorlesung mit integrierter Übung stellt die Zielsetzung und den Regulierungsansatz der KI-Verordnung vor. Sie behandelt die unterschiedlichen Risikostufen und die damit einhergehenden Compliance-Anforderungen für Anbieter und Betreiber von KI-Systemen. Sie führt zudem in die Regulierung der generativen KI ein und nimmt dabei das gesamte Regelsystem in den Blick, das neben harmonisierten Normen auch Leitlinien und Praxisleitfäden umfasst. As a universal technology, artificial intelligence (AI) is irreversibly changing our economic and everyday lives. AI applications promise productivity gains, growth and innovation. At the same time, the rise of AI is causing fears. The focus is on the question of the security and trustworthiness of AI systems. The EU has set itself the goal of ensuring this with the new AI Regulation. The AI Regulation is the world's first comprehensive set of rules for AI. It aims to build trust in AI and enable innovation ‘made in Europe’. The lecture with integrated exercises presents the objectives and regulatory approach of the AI Regulation. It covers the different risk levels and the associated compliance requirements for providers and operators of AI systems. It also introduces the regulation of generative AI, taking a look at the entire regulatory system, which includes harmonised standards as well as guidelines and practical guides.
