Data and Discourse Studies (Lecture)

The lecture aims to introduce the fundamentals of the Master's programme, with a focus on key concepts, models, theories and methodologies for dealing with research data within the context of the humanities and social sciences. Additionally, the theory and methods of discourse studies are introduced. Participants will become familiar with the fundamental categories and approaches of discourse studies. They will understand the theoretical and methodological background to dealing with research data in the humanities and social sciences, and be able to apply this knowledge independently to different text types.
