Die Vorlesung bietet eine Einführung in die Grundlagen der klassischen Optik. Aufbauend auf den Vorlesungen Physik I und II werden u.a. folgende Themenbereiche diskutiert: Kapitel 1: Elektromagnetische Wellen in Materie Kapitel 2: Elektromagnetische Wellen an Grenzflächen Kapitel 3: Geometrische Optik Kapitel 4: Optische Anisotropie & Doppelbrechung Kapitel 5: Interferenz Kapitel 6: Beugung Kapitel 7: Grundlagen des Lasers
