Course content

Ökologie als biologische Wissenschaft. Abiotische Faktoren: Böden (Bestandteile, Eigenschaften, Bodenbildung und -klassifikation); Klima (Strahlung, Energiebilanz, Temperatur, Wasser). Autökologie (Anpassungen an Umweltfaktoren/Ressourcen, ökologische Nische). Populationsökologie (Populationsdynamik; Konkurrenz, Aggregation, Territorialität; Lebenslauftheorie und optimal foraging). Synökologie (Räuber-Beute-Interaktionen, Parasitismus, Mutualismus, Mimikry-Systeme und Abwehr; Biodiversitätsmuster und -mechanismen). Ökosysteme (Komponenten, Strukturen, Grenzen, Energetik, Stoffhaushalt, Dynamik, Paläo-Ökologie, Biodiversität/Ökosystemfunktionen; ökosystemare Stabilität; chemische Ökologie; ökologische Modelle). Vegetationsökologie (Formationen, Lebensformen, Pflanzengesellschaften). Landschaftsökologie (Zonationen, Ökotone). Angewandte Ökologie (Bioindikation, Humanökologie, biologische Invasionen).
