UNITE! Sustainable Mobility Forum (SoSe)

This online seminar critically analyzes groundbreaking sustainable mobility and accessibility advances and showcases the latest innovations in academia, policy, and industry across the transport and traffic sector. During the first session (TUDa intern), the students will analyze mega trends in transportation and transfer their knowledge to upcoming topics in sustainable mobility. Thus, they prepare critical questions to challenge the status quo of current transport and traffic. During the second session, they will attend the UNITE! Sustainable Mobility Forum, ask and defend their viewpoint, and reflect on the lessons learned. The weekly sessions are held by different UNITE! and EIT! professors occasionally inviting guests from politics, industry and practice across Europe. Lernziele: The students are able to understand and express complex relationships between mobility, acessibility, climate resilience and sustainability in a rapidly evolving transport environment driven concurrent by mega trends, like artificial intelligence, pandemics, big data evolution etc. They can critically analyze the presented content and ask challenging questions to what extent the mobility and accessibility innovation enhances climate resilience and sustainability. Triangulating across different European contexts and different speakers from academia, policy, and practice, they can not only identify future challenges in the European mobility sector, but also propose valid solutions to enhance sustainability and climate resilience of the transport and traffic sector in Europe and across the world. The students can effectively argue for the importance of international collaboration through public outreach activities in finding viable sustainability solutions in a rapidly changing mobility sector.
